That’s a good question — I have never owned one of these large plotters. Out of my head, I can think of several challenges trying to attach a pen to this plotter:

• Does the feed motor move both ways?
• Can you control the feed motor using G-Code? and the print head position?
• Does the print head touch the paper, or does it fly above it? If it does, you will need to modify it so it doesn’t smear the ink.
• Do you have enough space to attach the pen next to the print head?

If it seems like you can easily attach a pen to the print head and control movement in both axes through GCode, then it might work. Anyway, if you do try this, I’d love to know about the results!
