Thank you for your feedback! Integrating typewiz tightly the upgrade process is quite difficult, as everybody has a different build configuration. You can manually configure the typewiz-webpack plugin, but I guess that would be a hassle for most users.

This is exactly where the power of schematics come into play — thanks to the CLI we can make some assumption on the project’s structure and schematics let us automate the installation of TypeWiz.
