I too hope so. The idea behind the post is to give the reader an idea of how powerful BigQuery can be — and inspire creativity in how we use our tools.

Writing this post convinced me that we don’t need more miners — the more computing power you put into mining, the more energy you and everyone else playing this game throw on this never ending hash-race, and I can’t see how this benefits us in any way. I’d love to learn about opinions different than mine, of course.
