Sounds like an interesting project, what are you planning to do once you are able to control the bulb through the BLE module?

I wanted to do something similar myself, but still haven’t found the time for that. If you want to share your code on github, I can have a look and check if I can make it work.

By the way, I just had one of these bulbs break down today, so I took it apart . Apparently, they use the nRF51822 chip — it is the same chip that powers the Red Bear BLE board:
